Joint Venture – A Joint Venture is simply a partnership between two or more companies or corporations. If there were both individuals and legal companies joined together it would be called a “Partnership Venture” or a “Venture Partnership”. There are many different types of Joint Ventures, for example a Non-Profit / For-Profit Joint Venture, or a Corporations / LLC Joint Venture, or a broader combination. You can also technically have a Joint Venture between two Non-Profits, but it would still be considered a “for-profit” because it can always have the option to bring in a for-profit organization into the Venture.  Directly setting up Joint Venture’s is rare, and so if you are interested in this option, please also look into Multi-Organization options, because a Joint Venture requires a minimum of three organizations. It can cost anywhere from $0/mo to $30/mo or more to directly sponsor a Joint Venture, plus a % of total incoming cash flow you would determine yourself.
